Kindness to parents

O my father, indeed there has come to me of knowledge that which has not come to you, so follow me; I will guide you to an even path.

O my father, do not worship [i.e., obey] Satan. Indeed Satan has ever been, to the Most Merciful, disobedient.

And your Lord has decreed that you worship not except Him, and to parents, good treatment. Whether one or both of them reach old age [while] with you, say not to them [so much as], "uff,"[1] and do not repel them but speak to them a noble word. And lower to them the wing of humility out of mercy and say, "My Lord, have mercy upon them as they...

And when My servants ask you, concerning Me – indeed I am near.

And when My servants ask you, concerning Me – indeed I am near.

And when My servants ask you, [O Muúammad], concerning Me – indeed I am near. I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me. So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me that they may be [rightly] guided.

Our Lord, so forgive us our sins

Our Lord, so forgive us our sins

Our Lord, indeed we have heard a caller [i.e., Prophet Muúammad ] calling to faith, [saying], 'Believe in your Lord,' and we have believed. Our Lord, so forgive us our sins and remove from us our misdeeds and cause us to die among the righteous.

And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this QurÕan as [a thing] abandoned."

And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this QurÕan as [a thing] abandoned."[1]1- i.e., avoiding it, not listening to or understanding it, not living by it, or preferring something else to it.

And remember the favor of Allah upon you

And remember the favor of Allah upon you and His covenant with which He bound you when you said, "We hear and we obey"; and fear Allah. Indeed, Allah is Knowing of that within the breasts.
