And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah."

And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah."

Calling to Allah, exalted be He, is one of the noblest deeds a Muslim can devote himself to. It is a call to noble morals, good treatment of others, safeguarding rights, and establishing justice among people. Through this call, brotherhood among believers and their affection for each other are achieved, just as total security and order are bound to prevail, in harmony with the Sharia of Allah. This security referred to here is not only concerned with the social aspect, but extends to include the psychological and spiritual security of the Muslim community as well, since all immoral behavior and reprehensible phenomena that have a negative impact on the cohesion of the Umma are all but eliminated. By fulfilling this call, the truth is revealed, grudges are gotten rid of and disputes among people dwindle.

Calling to Allah can by no means be limited to mere words; it includes the accomplishment of righteous deeds and a sincere intention to spread goodness and the performing of religious and social duties to their fullest extent. He who calls to Allah is he who seeks to spread lofty Islamic values that govern people's lives in all their aspects: good treatment of others, performing prayer, giving zakat, as well as business and social interactions based on honesty and fairness.

Many Quranic verses urge to call to Allah, exalted be He, and make evident the importance of this duty. These include Allah’s words:
"And who is better in speech than one who invites to Allah and does
righteousness and says, “Indeed, I am of the Muslims.”'" [Fussilat: 33
This verse shows clearly that the call to Allah is the best thing that can be said on earth and the greatest word a person can utter, as it combines this call with the accomplishments of righteous deeds, and exhorts people to be role models in their actions as well as their words.

Calling to Allah, exalted be He, is not merely a personal task to be performed; rather, it is a collective mission and a duty upon the Muslim Ummah as a whole. It is a duty that requires cooperation and coordination among Muslims to convey the message of Islam to others, whether they are Muslims or non-Muslims. Evidence from the Qur'an and Sunnah refers to the obligation of calling people to Allah, exalted be He, and though it is an obligation that is to be shouldered by part of the Ummah only, in the sense that if it is carried out by some people, the rest are relieved from this duty, it remains that calling others to Islam is a confirmed Sunnah, and has to be a continuous message that must be alive and renewed at all times. Allah, exalted be He, said in His Noble Book: “The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those– Allah will have mercy upon them. Indeed, Allah is Exalted in Might and Wise.” (At-Tawbah: 71)

This verse shows that believing men and believing women are allies of one another, that they work together to achieve what is good, abstain from doing what is wrong, establish prayer, and give zakat. All of this falls within the framework of calling to Allah as believers cooperate with one another to spread correct knowledge and achieve justice in society.
In conclusion, no progress can be achieved in Muslim society except through calling to Allah, exalted be He. Every Muslim must take upon themselves this great task and strive to spread goodness in their community, so as to realize true reform and build a society based on virtue and justice.

Calling to Allah, exalted be He, is a message that must be carried out by every Muslim, regardless of their circumstances. A Muslim must strive to call to Allah and convey what he has learned, following in this the example of the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, who called to Allah in all kinds of places and at all times. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, called to Allah in the mosque, on the street, in the marketplace, and in public places; he interacted with everyone, including those who harmed him and rejected his call. This is the true call that carries the message of Islam to all corners of the earth.
