Zakah is an aspect of mercy

Paying the Zakah is an aspect of mercy between the servants, the rich gives the poor. How great is the reward for paying it for the sake of Allah. It is the cause of receiving the mercy of Allah, so Be merciful on the earth, and you will be shown mercy from Who is above the heavens.

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { The believing men and believing women are allies of one another. They enjoin what is right and forbid what is wrong and establish prayer and give zakah and obey Allah and His Messenger. Those - Allah will have mercy upon them.
