What is the ruling of paying the Zakatul Fitr?

It is obligatory upon every Muslim be him male or female, adult or not, and even if he is not to fast like the case of the travelling person. However, he is obliged to pay the Fitr Zakah

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ Take, [O, Muhammad], from their wealth a charity by which you purify them and cause them increase, and invoke [ Allah 's blessings] upon them. Indeed, your invocations are reassurance for them. And Allah is Hearing and Knowing.}
