Good character and brotherhood
Do not allow disagreement to set you apart … The bond of brotherhood in Allah is strengthened by justice and equality.
Be conciliatory, be just, and be a source of mercy in the lives of others.
“And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer].”(Al-Furqan 63-64)
They walk quietly…They are not eager to win every argument, Nor do they respond to ignorance with ignorance. Their hearts have chosen peace… Because being close to Allah is more important than winning arguments.
“And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth easily, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say [words of] peace, And those who spend [part of] the night to their Lord prostrating and standing [in prayer].”(Al-Furqan 63-64)
There are people who are quiet during the day… But their hearts turn alive at night. When the world is fast asleep, they stand before Allah… And it is there, that great souls are forged.
So by mercy from Allah, you were lenient with
them. And if you had been rude and harsh in heart, they would have disbanded from about you. So pardon them and ask forgiveness for them and consult them in the matter. And when you have decided, then rely upon Allah. Indeed, Allah loves those who rely [upon Him]. (Al Imran:159)
True strength does not lie in harshness… but rather in a heart that knows how to soften.
People are drawn to mercy, and keep away from hearts that are hardened.
A true leader doesn't make people feel uneasy…
He rather, forgives, listens, and consults.
With these good ethics, hearts are built…
Before things are decided upon.
The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing.” (Al-Baqarah 261)
From a worldly point of view, giving is seen as a decrease in wealth… But in the sight of Allah, it is the beginning of the multiplication of bounties.
From a small seed fields of goodness can sprout out.
The most beautiful thing about giving… is that you don't see all its fruits.
But Allah sees them… and makes even a little thing give forth an ever-growing good.
Those who spend their wealth [in Allah’s way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly – they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.”
(Al Baqarah: 274)
Some hearts give in silence… They are in no need of praise, nor do they seek the approval of others.
They know that Allah sees… and that is enough for them.
Those who spend their wealth [in Allah’s way] by night and by day, secretly and publicly – they will have their reward with their Lord. And no fear will there be concerning them, nor will they grieve.”
(Al Baqarah: 274)
True giving does not need a suitable time… Night or day, secretly or openly.
When the heart is filled with goodness… It finds its way out to others.
Not upon you, is [responsibility for] their
guidance, but Allah guides whom He wills. And whatever good you spend is for yourselves, and you do not spend except seeking the face of Allah. And whatever you spend of good – it will be fully repaid to you, and you will not be wronged.” (Al-Baqarah: 272)
True giving doesn't wait for anything in return… Nor does it seek who deserves it more. It is enough that it be done purely for Allah… For every good deed you do will return to you one day.
When you give for the sake of Allah… You lose nothing.
The good that you give with your hand today… will return to you in full at a time known only to Allah.
Worship Allah and associate nothing with Him, and to parents [do] good, and to relatives, orphans, the needy, the near neighbor, the neighbor farther away, the companion at your side, the traveler, and those whom your right hands possess. Indeed, Allah does not
like those who are self-deluding and boastful”
(An-Nisa’ 36)
Faith doesn’t only appear during prayer… but it does also in the way we treat people. Kindness to parents… compassion for the vulnerable… and gentleness towards everyone we happen to meet.

(An-Nisa’ 36)
True goodness begins near you… at home, with relatives, and with neighbors.
When the heart is filled with kindness… goodness expands to include everyone.
O you who have believed, let not a people ridicule [another] people; perhaps they may be better than them; nor let women ridicule [other] women; perhaps they may be better than them. And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of wickedness after [one has attained] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers. (Al-Hujurat :11)
A word of mockery may seem unimportant… But it can wound a heart you cannot see. Keep your tongue… for the person you look down upon may be nearer to Allah than you.

And do not insult one another and do not call each other by [offensive] nicknames. Wretched is the name of wickedness after [one has attained] faith. And whoever does not repent - then it is those who are the wrongdoers. (Al-Hujurat :11)
Hearts are built with words… and can also be broken with words.
Do not mock, do not hurt, and do not call people by names they dislike.
For dignity is the right of every human being.
And if two factions among the believers should fight, then make peace between them. But if one of them oppresses the other, then fight against the one that oppresses until it returns to the command of Allah. And if it returns, then make peace between them with justice and be equitable. Indeed, Allah loves those who act justly.” The believers are brothers, so make peace between your brothers and fear Allah that you may receive mercy. (Al-Hujurat: 9-10)
The believers are brothers… And love is not built on disagreements.
If a rift arises, strive with justice for reconciliation, for Allah loves those who are just among people.

“And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you – when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers. And you were on the edge of a pit of the Fire, and He saved you from it. Thus does Allah make clear to you His verses that you may be guided.” (Al Imran:103)
Unity is not just a word… it is rather the path to salvation. When hearts are united on the path of truth, enmity vanishes, giving birth to true brotherhood.

Disunity leads to failure and danger… while unity, which is based on truth, brings hearts together and leads to mercy among people.
Hold firmly to what unites you, for this is a priceless blessing.
And if they intend to deceive you, then sufficient for you is Allah. It is He who supported you with His help and with the believers, and brought their hearts together. If you had spent all that is in the earth, you could not have brought their hearts together, but Allah brought them together. Indeed, He is Exalted in Might and Wise.” (Al-Anfal : 62-63)
When others strive so as to set you apart … do not worry, for Allah alone is sufficient.
With the strength of faith and reliance on Allah, hearts are united, and love triumphs over deception.

Neither money nor efforts can bring about true brotherhood… Rather, it is Allah who unites hearts and brings them together.
Rely on Him, for true unity begins in a believing heart.
