{ And that was Our [conclusive] argument which We gave Abraham against his people. We raise by degrees whom We will. Indeed, your Lord is Wise and Knowing. }

He [i.e., Allah] chose him and guided him to a straight path. And We gave him good in this world, and indeed, in the Hereafter he will be among the righteous....
