The Quran enjoins people to take care of their parents

Allah the almighty appreciates the role of the parents, he raises the rank of dutifulness due to the hardships they experience to bring up their children. Therefore, Allah commanded man to take care of his parents in particular.

Allah the almighty said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ And We have enjoined upon man goodness to parents. But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them. To Me is your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do. }
