The great role of the mosque in the nation

The first thing that the Prophet (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) did immediately upon his arrival in Madina was to build a mosque to observe the rituals of Islam that had always been fought, and to offer prayers linking the Muslim to the Lord of the Worlds.
Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { Do not stand [for prayer] within it - ever. A mosque founded on righteousness from the first day is more worthy for you to stand in. Within it are men who love to purify themselves; and Allah loves those who purify themselves.} Quran ( 9 : 108 )
