Is the wife obliged to seek her husband`s permission to fast?

She may not seek her husband`s permission to observe the obligatory fasting. However, she shall do so if she wants to fast voluntarily

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy.}
