Humility
Imagine for a moment…
Before you go to sleep…
That peace reigns all over the place…and that the sky above you is clear.
Allah has put a cover over your heart just as night has covered the earth.
Who are you without His mercy?
Who are you if you forget that you are simply a weak and needy servant?
Sometimes pride blossoms quietly…
It doesn't shout…but whispers:
“I am better than the others…I deserve more…I know more.”
And the Quran whispers words of wisdom to us:
“And the servants of the Most Merciful are those who walk upon the earth humbly, and when the ignorant address them [harshly], they say, ‘Peace.’” (Al-Furqan 25:63)
They walk quietly… not out of weakness… but out of awareness…
They know full well that everything they have has been granted to them by Allah…
The food they eat, the air they breathe, even their ability to prostrate in prayer, everything is but a gift.
Humility…
does not mean you have to belittle yourself before people,
but it rather means remembering…
who you are before Allah.
The more the heart bows down, the more the soul ascends.
And the more quietly you walk, the nearer you feel to the Most Merciful… And when you nurture your soul with humility…
a light grows within you, illuminating every place you go."
