When the impossible news came

Mary was in a quiet place, away from her family, when a messenger from Allah came to her bearing tidings that no human being can easily accept. He said to her: I am only the messenger of your Lord to give you a pure boy Maryam: 19].
She then asked him a question that was natural and sincere:
How can I have a boy when no man has touched me and I have not been unchaste
Maryam: 20

How indeed could she possibly have a child as she had never married nor had she been touched by a man? Then came the answer: “Thus said your Lord: It is easy for Me; and We shall make him a sign for mankind and a mercy from Us Maryam: 21
