How did Allah respond to the supplication of Abraham?

Abraham asked his Lord to provide for the believers of the holy land, Allah responded to his supplication. Moreover, Allah promised to provide all the inhabitants of the holy land both the believes and the unbelievers.

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ And [mention] when Abraham said, "My Lord, make this a secure city and provide its people with fruits – whoever of them believes in Allah and the Last Day." [Allah] said, "And whoever disbelieves – I will grant him enjoyment for a little; then I will force him to the punishment of the Fire, and wretched is the destination." }

Quran ( 2 : 126 )
