But when good [i.e., provision] came to them, they said, "This is ours [by right]." And if a bad [condition] struck them, they saw an evil omen in Moses and those with him. Unquestionably, their fortune is with Allah, but most of them do not know.
And when they hear ill speech, they turn away from it and say, "For us are our deeds, and for you are your deeds. Peace will be upon you;we seek not the ignorant."

And those cities – We destroyed them when they wronged, and We made for their destruction an appointed time.
So they will deny you, [disbelievers], in what you say, and you cannot avert [punishment] or [find] help. And whoever commits injustice[2] among you – We will make him taste a great punishment.
And whatever strikes you of disaster – it is for what your hands have earned; but He pardons much.
