Offering the prayer is the greatest pillar of Islam

Establishing the prayer is the most important ritual of Islam because it is the first thing that Allah Almighty obliged on His slaves on the night of Al-Mi`raj ( the ascension of the Prophet Muhammad to the heavens ). It is the balance of Islam and it is the biggest pillar and the greatest evidence of good religiosity and faith.

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do. } Quran ( 29 : 45 )
