The Quran encourages you to treat your parents kindly

Let him be humbled into dust; let him be humbled into dust. He who sees either of his parents during their old age or he sees both of them, but he does not enter Paradise. Said by the Prophet Muhammad, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him.

Allah the almighty said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ But if they endeavor to make you associate with Me that of which you have no knowledge, do not obey them but accompany them in [this] world with appropriate kindness and follow the way of those who turn back to Me [in repentance]. Then to Me will be your return, and I will inform you about what you used to do.}
