{Had there been within them [i.e., the heavens and earth] gods besides Allah, they both would have been ruined. So exalted is Allah, Lord of the Throne, above what they describe.} (AL‑Anbiya': 22)

This indicates the impossibility of the existence of two, three, or more gods in one universe, as each of them would need the other, and their divinity would be compromised due to their limitations. If each god ruled over a part of the universe without the other, their divinity would also be compromised due to their incomplete power.
