Spend from the wealth that Allah granted you, He is the one who made you self sufficient. Do not abstain from spending on your relatives and the poor people. Spend while you are rich before you became poor. Fear Allah who can make you poor. 

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) : { They ask you, [O Muhammad], what they should spend. Say, "Whatever you spend of good is [to be] for parents and relatives and orphans and the needy and the traveler. And whatever you do of good - indeed, Allah is Knowing of it." }
