He is a Human sent by Allah

Jesus and his mother were in need for food like all other human beings, this description entails that they can not be gods, because they can not provide for themselves, this trait is not befitting for a god.

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ The Messiah, son of Mary, was not but a messenger; [other] messengers have passed on before him. And his mother was a supporter of truth. They both used to eat food.1 Look how We make clear to them the signs; then look how they are deluded. }
