Allah the almighty said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :
Quran ( 33: 49 )
{ And when you divorce women and they have [nearly] fulfilled their term, either retain them according to acceptable terms or release them according to acceptable terms, }
Quran ( 2: 231 ).
In the Islamic prospective the rights of the woman are protected even after the divorce, the husband is ordered to release her graciously and to avoid harming or even abusing her.
