Allah threatened those who turn away from his path and disobeyed his orders with his wrath so be aware lest his anger befall you.

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ And obey Allah and obey the Messenger and beware. And if you turn away – then know that upon Our Messenger is only [the responsibility for] clear notification. }

AL‑MĀ’IDAH (92)
