How does the Quran save you from yourself
The hardest of battles that we fight are not with people,
nor with circumstances,
but with ourselves when sins weigh us down,
and thoughts overwhelm us,
and the voice of despair rises within us.
That voice that says:
You have failed so many times,
and you will never change.
The Quran does not confront you in a violent way,
nor does it accuse you of anything,
or ask you why you have failed again.
Rather, it opens a door for you,
and says with a deep quietness:
Come… no matter what you have done.
“Say, "O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of Allah. Indeed, Allah forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful." ”[Az-Zumar: 53]
The Quran saves you
Because it doesn't make you know your mistakes,
but rather makes you know your Lord.
It rearranges your heart from within,
and repairs what has been broken. without hurting you.
And whenever you feel you have let yourself down,
open the Quran,
you will find Allah saying to you with reassuring calm:
I am still near… and I have not closed the door.
