AL‑FATIḤAH 

1- AllŒh is a proper name belonging only to the one Almighty God, Creator and Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and all that is within them, the Eternal and Absolute, to whom alone all worship is due.
2- Ar-RaúmŒn and ar-Raúeem are two names of AllŒh derived from the word "raúmah" (mercy). In Arabic grammar both are intensive forms of "merciful (i.e., extremely merciful). A complimentary and comprehensive meaning is intended by using both together.
RaúmŒn is used only to describe AllŒh, while raúeem might be used to describe a person as well. The Prophet (– merciful to all creation. Justice is a part of this mercy. Raúeem includes the concept of speciality – especially and specifically merciful to the believers. Forgiveness is a part of this mercy. In addition, RaúmŒn is adjectival, referring to an attribute of AllŒh and is part of His essence. Raúeem is verbal, indicating what He does: i.e., bestowing and implementing mercy.

[All] praise is [due] to AllŒh, Lord[1] of the worlds 

The Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful,

Sovereign of the Day of Recompense.[1]

It is You we worship and You we ask for help.

Guide us to the straight path 

The path of those upon whom You have bestowed favor, not of those who have earned [Your] anger or of those who are astray.

And never say of anything, "Indeed, I will do that tomorrow," Except [when adding], "If Allah wills." And remember your Lord when you forget [it] and say, "Perhaps my Lord will guide me to what is nearer than this to right conduct."

The prayer of the compelled

Is He [not best] who responds to the desperate one when he calls upon Him and removes evil and makes you inheritors of the earth?[1] Is there a deity with AllŒh? Little do you remember.

"Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct an..."

Indeed, Allah orders justice and good conduct and giving [help] to relatives and forbids immorality and bad conduct and oppression. He admonishes you that perhaps you will be reminded.

"And the Messenger has said,"O my Lord,indeed my people have taken this QurÕan as..."

"And the Messenger has said,"O my Lord,indeed my people have taken this QurÕan as..."

And the Messenger has said, "O my Lord, indeed my people have taken this QurÕan as [a thing] abandoned."[1] 1- i.e., avoiding it, not listening to or understanding it, not living by it, or preferring something else to it.

who imposed upon you the Quran will take you back to a place of return

Indeed, [O Muhmmad], He who imposed upon you the Quran will take you back to a place of return.[1] Say, "My Lord is most knowing of who brings guidance and who is in clear error."

not equal are the good deed and the bad.

not equal are the good deed and the bad.

And not equal are the good deed and the bad. Repel [evil] by that [deed] which is better; and thereupon, the one whom between you and him is enmity [will become] as though he was a devoted friend.
