In the nearest land

The Qur’an decided a geographical fact that the Byzantines lost the battle with the Persians In the nearest land., i.e. this is the lowest area on the surface of the earth .

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ The Byzantines have been defeated1 In the nearest land.1 But they, after their defeat, will overcome }
