A [burning] lamp and luminous moon.

The texts of the Qur’an referred to the distinction between the star and the planet represented by the sun and the moon, the modern astronomers have reached this facts recently.

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ Blessed is He who has placed in the sky great stars and placed therein a [burning] lamp and luminous moon. }
