The morals of Abraham as mentioned in the Quran

Among Abraham's morals is that he has a good character, a generous man, and that he restrains his anger.

Allah said ( interpretation of the meaning ) :

{ Indeed, Abraham was forbearing, grieving1 and [frequently] returning [to Allah]. }

Abraham proceeded to call his father kindly to believe in Allah, following the easiest steps, yet he did not succeed. However, he continued to ask Allah to grant him guidance, when his father insisted on disbelieving in Allah, Abraham disassociated himself from his father and the idols.

Allah made Abraham a role model for the beleivers because he fulfilled the obligations of Allah and passed the tests sucessfuly. However, the wrongdower of his posterity will not be a model to be followd by the beleivers.
